Le terme

Holidays are necessary. We live our lives doing things we wouldn't do, if there was not the promise of holidays and vacation; we dream of freedom, inspiration and renewal. Some of us go skiing, others climb active vulcanos, or dive into the red sea, others lie on the Canarian beaches. Pepe Carvalho goes to the therms, trying to wash his body from all the sins he committed on him. But even on vacation we cannot escape the boredome of our lives and the roles we play so well. Pepe is confronted again with a delict, and with the human attempts of finding an acceptable truth for it. Among chubby ladies with obscene tits, ex-colonels, communist writers and german industrials, Pepe acts as if he were among the ramblas of Barcelona, and waits for the event to occur to him.
