Alexander the Great used to have great dinners, with exotic food, music, poets, dancers and final orgy! Nowadays, our party dinners sound more like: “What about the kids?”, “Have you seen the last episode of Star Trek?”, “May I have the salt, please?”.

First of all, not even everyone has dinners and dinner parties. Second of all, Alexandr the Great is not for nothing emperor. Third, I imagine Alexandr saying "Jesus, I am tired of those orgies. How would I like to go to a green field with my bare feet". The problem was - there were no green fields left.
